Karen Wright, Student Employment Coordinator

• Assist students and employers with myIUCareers accounts
• Payroll processor

Karen, originally from Vincennes, Indiana moved to Bloomington in 1997. Through the years at the Center she has had the privilege to work with IUB students and the Center’s career advisers in a variety of ways. This past year Karen has taken the role of Student Employment Coordinator. She has made it her mission to help students in search of part-time employment connect with on-campus and off-campus employers through myIUcareers and part-time jobs fairs, which are held in the beginning of the fall semester and the end of the spring summer semester.

Prior to living in Bloomington Karen worked in the newspaper business in Vincennes and Evansville, Indiana for over twenty years, first in retail advertising in sales and for the last five years as a graphic designer. Even though Karen did not graduate from IU but has taken IU classes, her husband, Mike, daughter, Richelle and son-in-law, Travis are IUB graduates. She and her husband are avid IU sports fans and attend all the basketball and football home games.
