Other Ways to Market to Students
In addition to information sessions and on-campus interviews, we offer several additional ways you can market your organization in-person while on campus. Organizations that participate in these programs often find themselves better connected to the campus and get more out of their recruiting efforts.
Employer in Residence
The Employer in Residence program is an effective way to strengthen your organization's reputation on campus by providing the opportunity to interact with our talented students and brand your organization in a non-traditional manner. Generally, the employer will volunteer a period of time (usually a day) to offer a variety of services to the students—resume critiques, mock interviews, career advice, and networking.
Employer panels
As part of our Job Search Strategies course, we invite five employers from a variety of fields to participate in an employer panel. Each employer gives a brief overview of their company and career path, followed by Q&A with the students and instructors focusing on all aspects of the job search and the transition from college to the world of work. This can be done along with another event on campus, such as an information session or on-campus interviews.
Networking Nights
Our office co-sponsors Networking Nights with the Alumni Association each semester. These events are themed to cover certain career areas and designed to introduce students to various organizations and allow students to practice networking. Networking Nights we've had in the past include:
