Career development is a life-long process where decisions are made based on the constant acquisition of self-knowledge and knowledge of the world of work. In the current world economy, it is rare that a job search would be a one-time undertaking. For most of our students, their first job will be just that: the first job. As such, the Career Development Center encourages students to plan and prepare for their future careers and equips them with the tools to do so, now and in the future. You can encourage your students to view this as a process, rather than a one-time event, and refer them to the tools discussed on this site for their own continuous development.
