Parents as Partners
Here are some of the ways you can help IU students with their career development:
Offer internships
An internship can help a student determine career direction, and it provides valuable real-world experience. Your organization can post, without a fee, internship opportunities for IU students. Internships can be paid or unpaid. For more information, please read our instructions for posting jobs and internships.
Post jobs
If your organization needs college-educated, entry-level workers, consider posting your openings, without a fee, on IUCareers.com. This free service gives you incredible flexibility to find the talent you need for your positions. For more information, please read our instructions for posting jobs and internships.
Share your experience
We encourage students to conduct informational interviews with professionals working in their fields of interest as a way to research occupations and organizations. If you belong to the IU Alumni Association, you can sign up to be a mentor in their career services program.
Support our services
We host dozens of career events and programs each year. If you have special interests and would like to discuss how you might contribute in certain areas, please call us at 812-855-5234 and ask for Pat Donahue.
