Undergraduate Career Advising
Drop-in advising
Drop-in advising is available without appointment Tuesday through Thursday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Career Development Center. The Career Development Center is located at 625 N. Jordan, on the northwest corner of Jordan and 10th. Drop-in appointments take 15-20 minutes. Career advisors answer general questions about majors or careers; critique resumes and cover letters; explain what resources are available on campus; and get students started on internship, job, and graduate school searches. If additional time is required, the advisor will help the student make an hour-long advising appointment.
Hour-long advising
For career-related needs and questions that extend beyond the drop-in appointment, career advisors are available for hour-long appointments. Students must first attend drop-in advising to make an hour-long appointment, and students must talk to an advisor in an hour-long appointment before taking either the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator personality assessment or Strong Interest Inventory.
