Experiential Learning

Real, hands-on experience is called experiential learning and is a crucial part of your career development process. Experiential learning is the best way of confirming which kinds of work you like. You may also discover that you don't enjoy work you thought you would, saving you time, energy, and money in the long run.

You can get real world career insight many different ways. Informational interviews and job shadowing generally only take anywhere from 20 minutes to a few days. Part-time jobs, career-related volunteering, and internships may last a summer, several semesters, or even longer.
