1.
Boats must
be made ONLY
of Cardboard and Duct Tape.

Cardboard cannot be
sealed with any paint or sealants.

Duct Tape may be of
varying colors for creativity but must have come manufactured in that
color.

If any illegal items
used in construction are discovered during the pre-race inspection, the
boat will be disqualified from the event.
2.
Boats shall be designed to
race with a two-person crew.
-
Each person will be
equipped with a paddle and lifejacket provided by the race committee.

A race number will be
assigned to each team; the race number must be made visible on each
shipmate’s arm.

The race must begin
and end with the two-person crew intact for the boat to qualify for the
Fastest Boat category.
3.
Boats will be raced for time in heats according to their entry division.

Heats will consist of
at least five(5) boats at a time (number may vary based on total number of entries).

Each boat will travel
50 meters(one length of the pool).

Fastest 5 times from heats will race for
fastest boat overall.
4.
Boats will be judged on
their creativity as part of the pre-race activities. Teams should be
prepared to “show-off” their work upon the start of judging. Boats must be
present at designated judging area by 4:00 p.m. on Race Day.
5.
Prizes will be awarded in
each division according to the following categories:
