The Stout lab is no longer accepting undergraduate students for research credit. We occasionally hire work study students. Students applying for work study positions must be approved for work study through the financial aid office.
Typical tasks may include but are not limited to:
- Scoring cognitive data
- Entering data into spreadsheets
- Using data to create charts and graphs
- Organizing and assembling test packets
- Labeling testing materials
- Faxing or copying relevant materials
- Preparing shipments for testing sites
- Putting up flyers to advertise for studies
- Screening and scheduling participants for experiments over the phone
- Running participants through experimental batteries
- Conducting in depth searches for peer-reviewed literature
- Reading abstracts to determine relevance of reviewed literature
- Using the library to retrieve articles
- Entering PDFs into Endnote library
- Completing other tasks as assigned by graduate students, post-docs, or senior scientists
