About Us

The purpose of CEHLS is to build the capacity of University of Liberia’s academic programs to address a national shortage of health care workers.

This is being accomplished through: development of new and updated programs in undergraduate life sciences, public health, midwifery, and enhanced pre-clinical science training in medicine and pharmacy; faculty training through fellowships and on-site mentoring; and acquisition of classroom and laboratory equipment, supplemental instructional supplies, and course textbooks.

Project goals include improving the quality of teaching in the health and life sciences as well as offering learning support to students through access to computers and library resources, internships, service learning opportunities, and hands-on laboratory experience.
