In August 2012, UL signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology (KNUST), making it possible for six UL fellows to obtain advanced degrees in Kumasi, Ghana in addition to the opportunity for future collaborations for faculty exchange, professional development, and research. Two of the fellows are studying Public Health and will return as faculty.

Earlier this year, a Liberian Professor, Dr. Mosoka Fallah,from Harvard University was recruited and sent to Liberia by Indiana University to help the faculty develop the curriculum for the workforce development certificate program.
