Short Biography:
Niyaz, a native Uyghur, was born and raised up in Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region (XUAR), the largest provincial unit of China. After graduating from Xinjiang University in 1996 with a MA degree, he began to specialize in historical linguistics/textual philology while he was working and earning his advanced degree at Xinjiang University. His arrival to the United States in 2006 introduced him the diverse language atmosphere of Indiana University. As a graduate student of the Department of Central Eurasian Studies of IU, he’s now working as a Uyghur language material developer.
