Textbooks
CeLCAR has produced working versions of introductory-level textbooks for Pashto, Tajiki, Turkmen, Uyghur, and Uzbek and we are proud to announce that several of our textbooks have been chosen to be published by our partner Georgetown University Press. The textbooks are based on the communicative approach to language learning and include authentic materials collected by CeLCAR developers on-site in Central Asia and Afghanistan.
• Tajiki: An Elementary Textbook, Volume 1 and Volume 2
• Tajiki: Reference Grammar for Beginners
• Uzbek: An Elementary Textbook
• Pashto: An Elementary Textbook
• Uyghur: An Elementary Textbook
• Dari: An Elementary Textbook
These textbooks have already been published and are available for purchase now on Georgetown's website (press.georgetown.edu).
Also, Dari: An Elementary Textbook, will soon be available.

Each textbook is accompanied by an Audio and Video CD and/or a supplementary Multimedia CD. These textbooks are currently being used in language classes at Indiana University, as well as other colleges across the country.
