Every spring, Indiana University Bloomington honors high-achieving undergraduate students by naming them "Founders Scholars" at IU Bloomington's Honors Convocation. To earn the Founders Scholar designation, an undergraduate degree-seeking student must have earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.8 or above by the end of the fall term immediately preceding the Honors Convocation. Founders Scholars will receive a letter of commendation from the president and provost in the early spring, and they and their families will be invited to the IU Bloomington Honors Convocation on April 11.

University Ceremonies has the pleasure of participating in some of Indiana University's most treasured events, including Freshman Induction, Founders Day, and Commencement. We also play a role in the groundbreakings and dedications of important facilities, and the conferral of honorary degrees. IU ceremonies are rich in pageantry and tradition, and we warmly invite you to join us for the festivities.

Plan on ordering your cap and gown for May Commencement at the Spring Grad Fair on February 24-26, 2010, in the State Rooms East and West (second floor) of the Indiana Memorial Union from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Note: This is a new location.)
