Freshman Induction

Freshman Induction marks the beginning of a student's academic career at Indiana University. Held as part of the Welcome Week activities, new students and their parents will be greeted by the president, provost and campus leaders. This ceremony is a unique IU tradition that began in 1933. Freshman Induction is not limited to just freshman – all new students, including transfer students, are welcome to attend. Freshman Induction is held in the IU Auditorium.
