1987-1992	Ganden Jangtse College, Mundgod, Karnataka, India Studied commentaries on Sutra and Tantra, Tibetan History, and Tibetan Literature. Practiced Tibetan Buddhism. Graduated with phar phyin rab ‘byams pa.
1982-1986	Rongwo Monastery, Rebkong, Amdo, Tibet Studied commentaries on Sutra and Tantra, Tibetan History, and Tibetan Literature. Practiced Tibetan Buddhism.

Personal Statement

In the current political circumstances, Tibetan literature and language is in grave danger of surviving. My life goal is to contribute to preserving and promoting the advancement and flourishing of Tibetan literature and language. With these concepts in mind, I have chosen to devote my career to teaching, writing, researching and translating so that Tibetan language can flourish in today’s world.

My current project is on the life of Shar Kaden Gyatso(1916-1978), who was a major monastic figure in Repgong, Tibet, before and after the Chinese invasion.
