Spring 2009 CEUS Course Projections (term 4092)
Due to CEUS by November 15, 2007.
Please provide course projections for SPRING 2009. I must enter 2008-09 fall and spring teaching details and course release or leave details, etc., into the College Elvira budget program. This electronic document drives College decisions for the department budget. It shows the faculty, visitor and student academic salary or position lines and fee remissions that should be continued into the next fiscal year (with or without pay). It includes new positions that need to be funded. It lists reasons for faculty release and makes note of other College commitments. We also list any non-College contributions toward CEUS salaries. At this point I’m asking only for course projections for Spring 2009, not firm commitments. CEUS lecturers, visiting lecturers, and AI’s don’t need to give me details for Introductory/Intermediate/Advanced language classes (because I can estimate those myself), but do tell me about any extra CEUS classes you expect to teach or any promises the College might have made to you. Use the comments box to tell me if you are granted course release (for administrative duties, junior leave, half-pay or full-pay sabbatical, etc.) or if you requested or plan to request paid or unpaid leave in 2008-09. Use the comments box to tell me about any new or continuing promises the College made for research accounts, support for visiting lecturers, or AI’s that should be added to our budget, etc. With the exception of COLL freshmen courses, there’s no need for CEUS to list course numbers and enrollment estimates for classes offered exclusively through other departments. SHAHRANI, LOSENSKY, and SELA hold split appointments and may offer courses with no CEUS sections, but make sure you give me sufficient courses to fulfill your CEUS teaching obligation or use the comments section to state the reason for temporary release from that obligation (sabbatical leave; administrative course release, leave without pay, etc.).
