Boğaziçi University Exchange for Graduate Students:

Boğaziçi University (BU), founded in 1863, and is located in the historic city of Istanbul. It has close to 12,000 students with programs in law, business and management, economics, medicine, Turkish language, and natural sciences.

This program is intended for independent research or study for one semester. BU's academic year runs from late September through the end of May. One position is open to IU graduate students each year. The language of instruction at Boğaziçi University is English. Applicants should have a clear research agenda or course of study that BU can accommodate. Students in Turkish language, literature, and related areas of study must confirm their Turkish language proficiency as part of the application process. Turkish language courses are offered under the exchange. OVPIA provides students with funds to cover the cost of round-trip airfare. BU provides a fee waiver for tuition and registration fees. Student dormitories are available, and the number of students in the rooms varies.
