Our Dream

Our Mission

The Children’s Door program seeks to identify, develop and provide services and programs that support, encourage, enhance and promote cooperative co-parenting.

Our monitored parenting time exchange service allows divorced, separated, and never married parents the opportunity to exchange their children in a safe, neutral, supervised environment to:

  1. Eliminate the potential for conflict surrounding exchanges;

  2. Allow children to have contact with both parents without witnessing or being put in the middle of parental conflict;

  3. Encourage both parents to be positive and active participants in their children’s lives.

Our mission also includes the development of additional programs and services that promote and enhance cooperative co-parenting. These programs may stand alone or be developed in partnership with other agencies and service providers. These proposed programs include:

  1. Supervised visitation services (monitored and supervised);

  2. Parent education (Family Life Education) programs;

  3. Post-divorce education programs for both parents and children;

  4. Education programs that promote alternatives to litigation for issues related to parents and children.

Finally, our mission includes the development and implementation of research and research methodologies to allow us to monitor our programs and services. We want to enhance those programs that prove to be effective, and modify those that are not effective.
