How to E-Mail the IUPUI Office of the Registrar

The university has designated e-mail as an official form of correspondence with the university. For purposes of protecting the confidentiality of student information, we send mail to university e-mail addresses only (@iupui.edu.edu, @indiana.edu).

Students often have questions about details of their records. Taking the following steps will allow us to speed-up our response to your message.

• Write to us from your university e-mail account. This provides us the assurance it is the student who has written to us. We will respond with confidential information to university addresses only.
• Provide as much detail as you can about your question or situation.
• Include your ten digit university id number in your message. We no longer use the social security number as the id number. You can find your number by visiting OneStart.

It is your responsibility to check your e-mail for important university communications or to forward university addressed e-mail to any private provider, such as AOL or Hotmail. Be sure also to check Oncourse for mail from your instructors. The user id and password for e-mail are the same as for registration, OneStart, and Oncourse. A great deal of information on policies, procedures and deadlines is outlined on our website and you are responsible for knowing any impending deadlines. You may be able to find an answer to your question more quickly on the website. In any case, please know that we truly are working to assist our IUPUI community just as quickly as possible.
