Research Description:
I have been working with Bloomington Urban Forestry Research Group since January 2013 as a graduate and research assistant. I have primarily been involved with a project evaluating the outcomes of neighborhood urban forestry funded by the National Urban and Community Forestry Advisory Council (NUCFAC) Challenge Cost- Share Grant. For this project, I have been involved with survey development and implementation assisting with protocol design, partner communication, meeting planning and other logistics. Throughout the implementation of this research, I will continue to be involved with database organization, using GIS to map community projects, and revising design method. I am interested in sustainable urban ecosystems, including trees, agriculture, and community engagement. I would like to work at the intersection of human and environmental dimensions to help inform better environmental policy and decisions.
