Individual Teaching Consultations

Instructional consultants are available to meet individually with faculty members and associate instructors on any facet of their teaching or their students’ learning. These confidential consultations are always driven by the goals and needs of the individual instructor.

Consultations are not limited to "problems" with your teaching, although we are experienced in helping instructors address challenges such as poor student evaluations or ineffective assignments.  But we are equally prepared to help successful teachers build on their strengths to enhance student learning still further.  We all become better teachers by exploring our work with knowledgable peers, and that is why we are here for you.

Any of the services and topics on the CITL website are good topics for individual consultations, as are any topics addressed in group workshops.  Specific consultations are available to address the use of service-learning and writing in your teaching.  And even if you don't know what questions to start asking, make an appointment and let us help you explore your teaching
