Workshop for Teachers
Geography and History of the World Workshops
These Title VI supported workshops are conducted to assist Indiana high school teachers with course content related to the standards for the new Indiana's new Core 40 curriculum Geography and History of the World requirement.
Coordinated by Indiana University’s Center for Social Studies and International Education (CSSIE), these workshops are offered in collaboration with four other IU area studies centers:
- Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies
- East Asian Studies Center
- Inner Asian and Uralic National Resource Center
- Russian and East European Institute
The workshops are free to participating teachers and materials in support of each presentation are made available free of charge. A curriculum specialist is also on hand to provide advice on translating workshop content into course modules.
Stay tuned for upcoming conference dates for the 2011-2012 academic year.
