Day of the Dead Celebration CLACS and the Mathers Museum collaborate with high school teachers and students to increase awareness of and celebrate the Mexican holiday, Day of the Dead. CLACS hosts workshops on the Mexican festival and works with students and teachers to create Day of the Dead Altars which are exhibited at the Mathers Museum. Public Programs CLACS annually sponsors more than 20 lectures on campus. The lectures serve as a forum for faculty, visiting scholars, students and others to discuss current research in Latin America and the Caribbean. Global Speakers Service In association with Global Speakers Services, CLACS provides faculty members, graduate students, or international students to lecture free of charge on Latin American and Caribbean topics to audiences in and around Bloomington.
Interactive Video Conferences CLACS assists International Studies for Indiana Schools (ISIS) in developing two-way interactive video classes and special programs on Latin America and the Caribbean for K-12 audiences.
