3.2.4 Volume Control

Description

Volume control enables the users to control the audio output level of the sound system from multiple locations. 

Features:

  • Balance an unbalanced audio line at its source
  • Bridge a balanced audio line
  • Distribute audio to several destinations
  • Remote control audio sources or audio level
  • Add automatic gain control or compression where it is needed in a system
  • Preamplify a microphone at the microphone location to drive line level
  • Multiple location remote control capabilities
  • Provide electronic attenuator

Specifications:

  • Inputs --- 10 K Ohms balanced or unbalanced line level
  • Frequency response --- 10Hz to 25 KHz
  • Total harmonic distortion --- <0.020% (20Hz to 20KHz)
  • Ramp rates --- 3 seconds to 10 seconds approximately
  • Audio outputs --- balanced @ 150 ohms to drive hi and low impedance line
  • Ramp outputs --- 0 to 10 V, DC with ground reference
  • Power requirement --- low voltage (24 volts approximately)
  • Up and down selection pushbutton or dial
  • Three years warranty on parts and labor, one year required
