Cover Crop Workshop and Field Day

You have heard about the benefits of Cover Crops, now learn the details of how to make it work on your farm. This workshop provides the “nuts and bolts” of how to plant and manage a cover crop. You will learn practical information about what needs to happen to get a cover crop planted this fall. How do you select the right cover crop? What are the risks, costs, advantages for each option. Where you get the seed and how do you plant, manage and kill the cover crop. Once the indoor sessions are over, participants will travel to a nearby farm where cover crops are used.
