Charity Moos Farber (BA 2002) works at the Committee on Institutional Cooperation (CIC), a consortium of the Big Ten universities plus the University of Chicago, as a Program Manager for Academic and International programming. She is responsible for supporting a wide range of collaborative programs and activities, including coordination of the Summer Research Opportunities Program, CIC FreeApp, Alliances for Expanded Study Overseas Program, and CIC Study Abroad programs. Prior to coming to the CIC, she worked at Ball State University as an Assistant Director of Student Organizations and Activities and at Illinois State University as a Leadership Development Specialist. She earned Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Culture from Indiana University and a Master’s of Arts in Organizational Communication from Ball State University. Charity was named the NASPA IV-East Outstanding New Professional in 2007 for her accomplishments in advising and developing experiential trips focused on leadership and social justice.
Tolu Jegede (Class of 2002) received his MFA in creative writing from IU in 2005 and has gone on to teach English composition courses at North Florida Community College in Madison, Florida. He has published writing in the Heartlodge Journal, Rockhurst Review, and the Bitter Oleander Press.
Jim Kendrick (Ph.D. 05) has published "Hollywood Bloodshed: Violence in 1980s American Cinema," (Southern Illinois University Press). He is an assistant professor at Baylor University in Waco, Texas.
Sandro Sato Right after graduating with the Class of 2006 I was offered a position as an Operations Representative at United Airlines in Chicago. The time to leave the US came after an offer from the Dow Chemical Co. to work as a Trainee at Dow’s Latin American Headquarter in Sao Paulo, Brazil. I was part of the first Latin American Young Professionals program, developed by Dow to select recent graduates from around the globe to work at different facilities in Latin American countries- such as Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Mexico. I'm currently working as a Marketing Specialist for the Dow Chemical Co. in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Melinda Spenner(BA 05) completed an internship with the Northwest Indiana Small Business Development Center at the Purdue Reseach Park in Merillville, Indiana. There she has learned about economic development and building small business communities. She will live and work in Northwest Indiana and has plans to get married in the summer of 2010.
Parker Wittman (BA 2004) is married to Angela Lynch Wittman (BA 2004). He is an information Management Specialist working for Aspect Consulting in Seattle Washington. He specializes in GIS & information design.
