The Department of English has over 500 English majors, 57 faculty and 200 graduate students. Our classes tend to be small and our faculty win lots of teaching awards. We teach writing, creative writing, literature and English language courses. Our majors find jobs in many fields, such as publishing, public relations, writing, and teaching. I advise English majors and minors in the College as well as hundreds of other IU students who are interested in English. I plan programs, answer email, organize student activities, represent the department at events and keep records. But I LOVE talking to students. Students may come to BH 442 or call 855-9532 to make an appointment. My undergraduate degree was in English and I have a masters degree in College Student Personnel Admin and counseling. Prior to this position, I worked for 11 years as Director of Career Services in the IU School of Law.
