Undergraduate Student Scholarships

Enhanced undergraduate student support will ensure Indiana and the College’s commitment to attracting the best and brightest students - without regard to economic background - and educating tomorrow's leaders and problem solvers.  This critical initiative will provide outstanding educational opportunities for all. Funding for endowed undergraduate scholarships and awards is vital to providing significant career opportunities for our students.

Graduate Fellowships and other Funding Support

Graduate students are a unique cadre of highly qualified young academics at a critical juncture in their career development.  They serve multiple roles as researchers, educators, and professionals, let alone as students exploring their own academic passions.  Endowments for graduate fellowships, assistantships, and other formalized training programs are key to their academic success.

Teaching

Indiana’s faculty not only conduct research that has a positive impact on our world, they touch the lives of students as they educate our  leaders of tomorrow.  They are innovators who solve the world's toughest problems, shape the academic frontiers, and mentor and engage with students.  The College has one of the most accomplished faculties in American higher education—but we must increase our focus on recruiting the next generation of scholars, and retaining current accomplished scholars, as competition for talent intensifies and new disciplines emerge. 

The College seeks additional financial resources for endowed chairs, professorships, and research funds to assist in recruiting  and retaining the world's most exciting scholars and teachers.

Facilities and Equipment

It is crucial that the College provide the best possible technologies for education and research. This not only includes new world-class facilities that allow for the pursuit of knowledge, but also to equip cherished historical buildings for new ways of teaching and learning.  The College’s facilities must be transformed for the 21st century to attract and empower the world's top faculty and students.  Indiana is constantly evolving its facilities to provide both with the very best resources for pursuing knowledge and adapting it to our world.

Unrestricted Giving and the College Annual Fund

Gifts that are not designated for a specific purpose (unrestricted gifts)  allow the College to respond positively and quickly to many needs as they arise. Unrestricted funds can mean the difference between a missed opportunity and a breakthrough discovery, and provide opportunities for enhanced student learning.

Unrestricted gifts made through the College Annual Fund, or as an endowment, are a critically important form of giving.  By making unrestricted gifts, you enable the College to take full advantage of opportunities such as campus and classroom guest speakers and lecturers, student and/or faculty travel for educational conferences, the College’s semi-annual magazine, and other projects as needed.

Gifts and How to Make them

• Outright gifts of cash, stock or other securities.  Securities may be transferred as gifts to the College using various methods.

• Planned Gifts are commitments you make to the university that will benefit the College at some future date. Planned gifts may include a provision in your will or trust, a charitable remainder trust, a charitable gift annuity,  or life insurance.

• Gifts-in-kind that fulfill College objectives can be accepted and may include works of art, royalties, property, real estate, and equipment.

• On-line gifts can be made to the College, or to benefit a specific department, or programs that you wish to designate.  You can make a gift online through our secure website using your credit card (VISA, MasterCard, Discover or American Express), your debit card, or directly from your checking account. Click here to make a gift online.

Corporate Matching Gifts

Many employers sponsor matching gift programs that match all or a portion of a charitable contribution made by their employees. To find out if your company has a matching gift policy, please enter your employer's name below.

If your company provides a matching gift, request a matching gift form from your employer, complete, sign and return it with your gift. We will do the rest. The impact of your gift to this organization may be doubled or possibly tripled! Some companies match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses.
