Addy Bryan
I am Addy Bryan and I will be a sophomore majoring in Anthropology and Near Eastern Languages and Cultures. My family currently lives in Hartington, NE. Food, languages, traveling, and music are my passions. Coffee, if truly good, should be in its purest form and strong. My cash flow here at IU mainly goes to the ethnic food restaurants on 4th street. I studied Spanish and currently I am studying Arabic and Farsi. I have traveled to Egypt, Mexico, Italy, and Switzerland. I played viola for about 11 years, and I love a very wide range of musicians and styles of music. I hope to work in the Middle East either through the State Department, United Nations, or with an NGO.

| Owen Mason I’m Owen and this will be my second year in the Global village. I am a business and Chinese major and I’ll be one of the “Q class” facilitators for the first year “GVers”. My interests include keeping up with current world affairs, learning about anything Chinese, listening to any kind of music, and watching hockey! I decided to become a Q class facilitator because I had a very insightful and fun time in my class and I would like to try and give an even better experience to the students in my class. Although the class is only one credit, I believe the Q class is a very important to the students because it will challenge their views and assumptions about the world and even their community. Also, while in the Q class, I believe the students will be able to get to know their peers in a very unique way.

My name is Leah and I am a junior majoring in Political Science and Spanish, with minors in English and West European Studies. I lived in the GV for the past two years and enjoyed it greatly, so I’m excited to return as a Peer Instructor this year. I love traveling and as a result of having lived in various locations across the nation and overseas throughout my life, I call many places my home. During the spring semester of this year I plan to keep the pattern going by studying abroad in Madrid, Spain. After college, I’m considering attending law school and then working closely with social justice issues, perhaps as a human rights lawyer. Apart from academics, I’m involved in a variety of on-campus organizations and my hobbies include anything involving art and playing soccer.
