Question: Is there a registration fee for teams advancing to the state tournament?

Answer: Yes, Teams competing at the State Tournament must pay a $100 tournament registration fee. Please bring your check, made payable to "Indiana Science Olympiad" to registration on tournament day.

Question: How many alternates and observers may we bring to the tournament?

Answer: Here at IU, we do not limit the number of students you can bring to the tournament. A couple of things to keep in mind …

You must provide chaperones for all students you bring.
Each team will have 25 assigned seats (in the main seating with easy access to the stage) for the Awards Ceremony. If you bring more than 25 people everyone else will have to sit in the designated general seating area located at the back of the main seating or in the balcony.
The typical home room holds anywhere from 20-30 people. I do have a few larger rooms and will try to accommodate teams based on the number of people indicated on the pre-registration form.

Question: Will you have a parade of teams at the beginning of the awards ceremony?

Answer: Yes, Please select a MAXIMUM of two students from your team to participate in the parade of teams. Each team should bring their school banner or make one.
