Tournament InformationTrial Events :: FAQQuestion: Microbe Mission was not listed on the pre-registration form for the B division however it is listed on the trial event schedule - will it be a trial for B division? Answer: Yes, our pre-registration went live in November and we did not get it updated in January when we decided to run Microbe Mission instead of Mystery Engineering. It was an oversight on our part, sorry for the confusion. Question: What bottle rocket launcher will you be using for Horizontal Bottle Rockets and where can we buy one? Answer: Currently we have been unable to locate a commercially built launcher for this event. If I do not locate one with one week, we will either build a launcher or modify one of the four launchers we own (Big Foot or Pitsco launchers) during our spring break next week. Question: Where do we obtain the pre-build kit for Protein Modeling? Answer: Pre-build kits were mailed on Monday to the home address of the main coach listed on the pre-registration form. Question: Can we still participate in a trial event even though we did not indicate we were on the pre-registration form? Answer: Yes, we are prepared for every team to participate in every trial. We just wanted some idea on how many teams were planning ahead to do the trial events. Question: Who can compete in trial events? Answer: Any student from your school may compete in pilot or trial events. That means official competitors, observers, and alternates may compete. The maximum number of competitors per school can be found on the official rules.
