Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Program

This is a national scholarship program that supports undergraduate students who plan careers in natural sciences, math, and engineering. The Goldwater Foundation does NOT accept direct student applications for this award; students must be nominated to the College by a faculty member. The College holds an internal competition to select nominees for the national Goldwater competition and The Foundation selects approximately 300 winners each year from all over the United States. |

Application Process: |
The Goldwater Foundation accepts applications only through participating universities via designated nominating officials. Students MUST register with Ms. Lynn Keller to pick up application materials. Please call 856.0827 to arrange a time to speak with Ms. Keller. The College's Selection Committee will review all applications and will forward successful nominations to the Goldwater Foundation who will select the scholarship recipients. |

Award: |
Up to $7,500 per year toward the costs of attending college, including tuition, fees, books, and room and board. Current juniors are eligible for one year of support; current sophomores are eligible for two years of support. |
IU Internal Deadline: |
All materials (some electronic, some on paper) must be received by the College of Arts and Sciences by Friday, December 4, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. |
