Senior Scholarship Competition

Description:

Current, full-time third-year students can apply for a variety of merit-based scholarships for their senior year. Award amounts and eligibility requirements vary widely for the approximately 20 named scholarships that the College awards annually through this competition. Recipients of these scholarships are required to write a personal letter of thanks to the donor.

Eligibility:

  • Full-time status at IUB or in an approved overseas study program
  • Must be eligible to graduate in May or August 2011
  • Must be enrolled as a full-time student both semesters of 2010-2011
  • Must be majoring in the IU College of Arts and Sciences
  • High academic merit, including a minimum College GPA of 3.500
  • Must be a US citizen, resident alien, or US national
  • Note: Some awards are restricted to academically meritorious students who have financial need.

Application Process:

Print and complete an application for the Senior Scholarship Competition and submit it by the deadline with the materials required.
Completed applications must be delivered to the Office of Undergraduate Academic Affairs, Kirkwood Hall 012 (Hours: 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.; 1:00–4:00 p.m. weekdays).
