Pre-College of Arts and Sciences Students and Transfer Students
Incoming freshmen who have not received offers for Direct Admission to the College and who are currently enrolled in the University Division may apply for College of Arts and Sciences scholarships once they have been admitted to and have declared a major in the College. Students who are applying to IU as prospective freshmen are encouraged to learn more about scholarships, grants, and aid at IU by visiting the Office of Scholarships as well as the Office of Student Financial Assistance websites.
The College of Arts and Sciences does not currently offer scholarships to incoming transfer students. Once admitted to the College, however, transfer students may apply for undergraduate scholarships using the same process as all other students who have been admitted to and declared a major in the College. Scholarships are competitive, and a student’s decision about whether or not to transfer to Indiana University Bloomington should not be contingent upon the possibility of receiving scholarship support. Potential transfer students are encouraged to read College of Arts and Sciences admission requirements, degree requirements, and policies on transferring coursework from other institutions prior to applying to the Bloomington campus.
