Nathan (Nate) Hendershott joined the Department of Comparative Literature as Undergraduate Academic Advisor in April of 2011. Prior to this position he worked in the Department of Athletics. He helps students plan their academic careers, makes suggestions and connections regarding internships and jobs, as well as guides students in various other capacities. Nate holds a BA in Biblical Literature and Languages from Indiana Wesleyan University, and an MSW (Clinical Concentration) from the Ohio State University.

Mary Huskey joined the Department of Comparative Literature as the Graduate Secretary in January 2011. She is the first point of contact for graduate students and the liaison between graduate students and the Director of Graduate Studies, the chair of the department, the Graduate School, and the College of Arts and Sciences. She comes to IU from the University of New Mexico, where she worked for 14 years in undergraduate academic advising and development and marketing. Mary is pursuing an MS in Counselor Education through IU's School of Education. She holds a BA in Sociology and Political Science from the University of New Mexico.

Melinda Bristow joined the Department of Comparative Literature as the Administrative Assistant in September 2013. She assists the chair and tends to the accounting needs of the department including Indiana University Foundation accounts, Travel, Grants and processing scholarships and fellowships. Melinda is in charge of class scheduling and purchasing for the department.  She comes to our department from the School of Fine Art where she served as Budget Coordinator and previously to them Accounts Payable .She has been with Indiana University 9 years. She holds a BA in General Studies from Indiana University and an associate in Accounting from Ivy Tech State College.
