Associate Justice Rahaf Safi

Rahaf Safi is a senior majoring in Political Science and Philosophy with a certificate in Political and Civic Engagement.


Rahaf is founder and president of Oxfam Club at IU. Oxfam works to engage students on issues concerning hunger, poverty, and injustice. She spent the summer of 2013 interning in Dakar, Senegal, at a women’s association dedicated to educating women on their rights and providing them support on issues concerning divorce and sexual assault.


In the past, she volunteered for the Middle Way House in Bloomington as a legal advocate researching issues concerning women’s rights in jail. Additionally, she interned for the Center for the Study of Global Change.


Rahaf is originally from Plainfield, Indiana. In her free time she enjoys reading, cooking, and working on mosaic art.
