Associate Justice Vasundhara Bhargava


    Vasundhara Bhargava, class of 2012, is majoring in Mathematics, Economics, and Finance.


    A Wells Scholar, National Merit Scholar, National AP Scholar, and Hoosier Scholar, Vasundhara works as a page designer at the Indiana Daily Student and an usher at the IU auditorium. Before she joined the Supreme Court, she served on the Collins Living-Learning Center Judicial Board.


     Originally from Fort Wayne, Indiana, Vasundhara graduated as valedictorian of Homestead High School, where she was a drum major of the marching band for two years and served as the editor-in-chief of the yearbook. She was an executive board member of the National Honor Society, and served as an officer and member of her school’s speech and debate team. She spent her summers volunteering at Lutheran Hospital.


     In the summer of 2009, Vasundhara studied abroad in Florence, Italy. She plans on studying abroad again in London, and is planning on riding in the Little 500 during her time at IU. In her free time, she likes doing homework in the arboretum, learning to cook, competing in case competitions, and running. She plans on running a marathon someday.
