Vasundhara Bhargava, class of 2012, is majoring in Mathematics, Economics, and Finance.
A Wells Scholar, National Merit Scholar, National AP Scholar, and Hoosier Scholar, Vasundhara served on the Collins Living-Learning Center Judicial Board before joining the Supreme Court. She is currently on the Board of Aeons and works as an undergraduate instructor for the economics department. Vasundhara is involved with the Investment Banking Workshop and the Kelley School of Business Honors Leadership Team. A member of the Hutton Honors College, Vasundhara is also part of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority and a student representative on the Standing Committee on Residency. Last year, she volunteered at the Slocum Collection in the Lilly Library.
Originally from Fort Wayne, Indiana, Vasundhara graduated as valedictorian of Homestead High School, where she was a drum major of the marching band for two years and served as the editor-in-chief of the yearbook. She was an executive board member of the National Honor Society, and served as an officer and member of her school’s speech and debate team.
In the summer of 2009, Vasundhara studied abroad in Florence, Italy. She spent the summer of 2010 studying abroad in London and took a spring break trip to Ghana to study its economy in March 2010. This past summer, Vasundhara interned at Goldman, Sachs & Co. in the investment banking division.
In the rest of her time at IU, Vasundhara looks forward to enjoying Kirkwood, football games, basketball games and Little 500. She also plans to run a mini-marathon.
