Weston Macklem

   Weston Macklem, class of 2010, is a double-major studying Political Science and French.  A member of the Phi Eta Sigma Honors Society and the Hutton Honors College, he is also pursuing a minor in Western European Studies.
Originally from Terre Haute, Indiana, Weston graduated in top of his class from Terre Haute North Vigo High School.  He was Vice President of the National Honor Society, a member of the Fraternity of Highest Excellence, a National AP Scholar, a four-year member of the Student Council, and the State President of the Indiana Association of Students of French.
Focusing on further immersing himself in the global culture, Weston spent his Junior year in Aix-en-Provence, France, where he continued to improve his French speaking skills and experienced, among many things, the Obama election and the economic crisis through the lenses of continental Europe.  
Upon graduating from Indiana University next spring, Weston plans to pursue a degree in law with an international corporate litigation concentration.
