About the Colloquium . . .

The colloquium brings together all Indiana University faculty and students interested in the study of political communication -- including news and democracy, media and politics, new technologies and the public sphere, and related areas -- and strives to be an interdisciplinary meeting place for research discussion and collaboration. Housed within the Schuessler Institute for Social Research, the Colloquium is represented by faculty a diversity of departments and perspectives, including Political Science, Sociology, Journalism, Communication & Culture and Telecommunications. Eventually, the intent is to establish a funded research center that can serve as a campus resource for the interdisciplinary study of political communication.
