CPT and Lorentz Symmetry
August 15-18, 2001
Indiana University, Bloomington
|
A meeting on CPT and Lorentz symmetry will be held in
the Physics Department,
Indiana University
in Bloomington,
Indiana, U.S.A. on August 15-18, 2001. The meeting
will focus on experimental tests of these
fundamental symmetries and on theoretical issues, including scenarios for
possible violations.
Subjects to be covered include:
- experimental constraints on CPT and Lorentz symmetry from
- oscillations and decays of K, B, D mesons and other particles
- comparisons of particle and antiparticle properties
- spectroscopy of hydrogen and antihydrogen
- clock-comparison tests
- tests with spin-polarized matter
- properties of light
- astrophysical tests
- theoretical studies of
- phenomenology at the level of the standard model
- possible origins and mechanisms for violations
- issues in field theory, gravity, and string theory
The meeting will feature both plenary and contributed talks covering the above topics.
