The alphabetical ranges above contain an annotated list of the projects in the Center for the Study of History and Memory archive, 1968 to the present. On these pages, the projects are listed alphabetically by project title. The project number used in the IUCAT records for our projects (see instructions below) follow the project's running date(s) in each project title. Each annotation includes the year(s) the project was conducted, the number of interviews, the major time period(s) covered by the interviews, and a short list of subjects discussed by the interviewees.

NEW FINDING AID

Funded by a Preservation and Access Grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities and created in collaboration with the Indiana University Digital Libraries Program and the Indiana University Archives, this finding aid was created using Encoded Archival Description (EAD), and provides data on each project and its interviews. A search engine for this finding aid is forthcoming.

Click on a linked project name, and it will take you to a page that contains a description of the project, the interviewees for that project, keywords identified as relevant subjects in the interview, and an abstract for each interview. You will need to hit the "back" button to return to the "Browse" pages. Project names that do not have hyperlinks have not yet been added to the finding aid.

You can also access records on some of our projects in the Indiana University Catalog ( IUCAT). The creation of these project records by the University Archive is ongoing. To see the list of our archive's project records in IUCAT to date, follow these steps:

Choose the "Call Number" search option from the list on the right.

From the "library" drop list, choose "Blmgtn-Archives and Records Management (B-ARCHIVES).

Type in Project No. in the call number box.

Choose "Alphanumeric" as the shelving scheme.

Click the Search button and you will see a list of our Center's projects that have records in IUCAT.

For assistance in a search on a subject of interest to you, please contact our office using this online form, or call us at 812/855-2856.

COPY COSTS
