Town-gown collaboration offers 'speed dating' to match nonprofits, IU volunteers
CSLD, as a member of the Civic Engagement Campus Community Stakeholders, participated in a Campus Community Speed Matching Event at the DeVault Alumni Center on July 30th, 2009. The event brought together staff members from various IU departments with several community nonprofit organizations which depend on student volunteering and service learning to fulfill their missions. - September 9, 2009 - Student Involvement Fair is scheduled from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m (rain date is 9/10/09) in the Indiana Memorial Union parking lot (last 2 rows). If you want to get involved with student leadership, this is the place to be! Cardboard Boat Regatta
September 25, 2009
The Council for Advancing Student Leadership (CASL) will host the 8th Annual Cardboard Boat Regatta on September 25, 2009, at 4:00 p.m. at the IU Outdoor Pool. The Regatta features fierce competition from student groups, departmental challenges and individual entries vying for the precious hardware and annual braggin’ rights around campus. Awards are given for the fastest finisher and most creative two-person boats made solely of cardboard and duct tape. Even if you don’t build your own boat this year, scope out the competition for next year while enjoying the live music and free food.
