Problems accessing the CSR Gateway

If you are experiencing problems accessing the CSR gateway, please refer to the items  below:

  1. You are not using Internet Explorer. Netscape and other web browsers will not interface with the scheduler properly.
  2. You are using Windows/XP or Internet Explorer XP. It is possible to access the Gateway site using XP, but requires some extra steps. XP does not offer the domain field when entering your password. To get around this, you must enter your domain name in the NAME field in the authentication window that pops up. You would enter it like this: "Domain/Username," or in my example: "ADS/bbrake." This is confusing, but it will work.
  3. You are not using the correct domain. The Gateway site was once SOC_NT, but SOC_NT is no longer active. ADS is currently the correct domain to use. In Windows XP, type "ADS\" followed by your user name in the user name box. In Windows 2000, type ADS in the Domain box (*DO NOT type ADS\ in the user name box when using Windows 2000).
  4. You have the wrong website address. A common mistake is that people enter the website address incorrectly. The website is https://csrsecure.indiana.edu/gateway. Many people type "http" instead of "https." The "s" indicates that it is a secure site.
  5. You are now using a Macintosh. Our current program may not work well with certain parts of the gateway.
  6. You are not logged on to the Internet via the IU modem pool. Click on the following links to find out how to connect your computer to the campus network using Virtual Private Networking.
