Cultural Studies Adjunct: Michael Robinson
I am an historian who specializes in the study of modern Korea with particular interest in its colonial period. I am currently researching a monograph on the origins and development of broadcasting in Korea and its linkages to the emergence of early mass culture in the colony. I have also recently published a modern history of Korea for college classroom use and the general reader, Korea's Twentieth Century Odyssey: A Short History. (Honolulu: University of Hawaii Press, 2007).
