Video collections -- Indiana University
As a result of organizational changes, the ISS Media Collection has been merged with the Media Collection in the Wells Library. Staff in CTS and the IUB Libraries are doing everything possible to make the transition as seamless as possible. The ISS titles will be cataloged and available in IUCAT, and the Libraries will be acquiring a media booking system for the integrated media collections.
Ordering Media
During this transitional period, CTS staff will continue to schedule videos from the ISS collection as in the past:
- via email request to cts@indiana.edu
- via phone to 855-8765
- via the online catalog
- at our service desk in Franklin Hall 0009
- in writing to Franklin Hall 0009
The video collection is located in the Kent Cooper Room, Wells Library 044, located next to the Wells Library cafeteria at the bottom of the escalator.
Staff at the Wells Library will send videos from the ISS collection via campus mail to faculty at IUB, IUPUI, and the other IU campuses.
Faculty who want to schedule a video and take it with them will have to go to the Kent Cooper Room. The CTS scheduling office in Franklin Hall 0009 will not have the videos available in their building.
Reference
Martha Harsanyi will continue to provide reference services, and help you identify relevant materials in both the ISS and IUB Libraries collections. Her new office is in the Kent Cooper Room, Wells Library, Room 044. Her phone is 855-8065.
