What is the IU Ballroom Dance Team?


The IU Ballroom Dance Team provides professional coaching to anyone interested in learning ballroom dance at a more in-depth level and accelerated pace. No partner or dance experience is necessary - in fact, most of our dancers start with no experience at all. The Team is open to all students, staff, and community members.


Our Program


Mondays - Standard Coaching
  • 8:30 - Bronze Standard
  • 9:15 - Silver Standard

    • Wednesdays - Latin Coaching
  • 8:30 - Bronze Latin
  • 10:00 - Silver Latin

    • Saturdays
  • 12:00 to 4:00 - Open Practice

    • All lessons and practices will be held in HPER 171 (School of Public Health 171)

    Dues


    Team dues are $85 per semester. This includes two nights of coaching for 10 weeks, workshops, and club dues. Members will also be given access to IUBDT online resources. Ballroom instruction is expensive, so this is one of the most affordable ways to learn.
