Course Description and Content

Survey of business procedures and practices, and professional
values and standards for interior designers.

Required Texts and Readings

Piotrowski, Christine M.  Professional Practice for Interior
Designers, 2nd Ed., Van Nostrand Reinhold, 1994.

Other required readings will be provided

Outline Course Requirements

Three exams, four assignments, portfolio & related job search
items (i.e., resume, cover letters, etc.)

Other Comments

It will be strongly recommended (but not required) that students
begin transition of their large, original portfolio materials down
to a smaller, more professionally presentable size.  This involves
investment in photography, PMTS, copies, and a new portfolio
case of appropriate size.  Development of resume, cover and
thank you letters will require appropriate paper selection.
