Course Format: Wet laboratory (9:00A-10:55A, TR, JH 243, OR 2:30P-4:25P,
TR, JH 243).  Truly optional collecting trips outside regular class hours.

Prerequisites:  Biol. B351 concurrently or completed.  Most take B351
concurrently.

Course Description: Isolate, purify, identify, and preserve fungi.  Apply
routine chemical and other tests needed for identification of fungi,
collect molds.

Required Text:  "The Audubon Society Field Guide to North American Mushrooms".

Weekly Assignments: Four hours of scheduled laboratory time.

Exams/Papers: Two midterms and one final exam.  Re-test option for final
exam (in fall semester, not in summer session).
