Course Format: Lecture: 8:00A-9:15A, TR, JH 124.

Prerequisites:  Intended for non-majors only.

Course Description: L350 is an introductory lecture course in ecology for
non-majors.  Students are assumed to have had at least a high school
background in general science and biology.  L350 will emphasize the
physical and biological principles that determine how organisms interact
with each other  and their environment.  This knowledge is crucial to
understanding and addressing environmental problems; we will refer to but
not dwell on such problems throughout the course.

Required Text:  "Concepts of Ecology", by Kormondy.

Weekly Assignments: Readings corresponding to lecture.

Exams/Papers: Four equally weighted exams. Possible in-class pop quizzes.
