The Informed Eye: Understanding Masterpieces of Western Art

An introduction to some of the greatest paintings, sculptures, and buildings of the Western world
from Greek vase painting to Jackson Pollock.  The properties, concepts, and meanings of
masterpieces will be studied through a series of concise, specific explorations, or case studies, of
single works of art or groups of related works.
